It's tempting to save money by keeping an old coil when replacing a condenser, but it rarely works out. Older coils use R-410A and different capacities, so pairing one with a new low-GWP condenser mismatches refrigerant and rating — cutting efficiency, risking reliability, and voiding the warranty. Replace the coil with the outdoor unit.

It's strongly discouraged. Old coils are usually R-410A and a different capacity; pairing one with a new condenser mismatches refrigerant and rating, hurting efficiency and voiding the warranty.
Coils and condensers are engineered for a specific refrigerant. New equipment uses low-GWP R-454B or R-32, so an old R-410A coil can't be matched to it.
